Product Description

The greatest player ever to pick up a set of darts, Phil 'The Power' Taylor is a 14-times world champion who has taken the game to unprecedented heights and although he is now in his late 40s, he remains the most lethal performer on the circuit. Born in Stoke in 1960, Taylor was first spotted at the oche by the legendary Eric Bristow, who lent him £10,000 to pursue his professional career. Taylor repaid the favour by destroying the Crafty Cockney 6-1 in the final of the 1990 BDO World Championship. Taylor won the second of his world crowns two years later, defeating Mike Gregory in a classic match, but in 1993 The Power joined 15 other top players who split from the BDO to form the Professional Darts Corporation. He was no less successful with the new organisation and won his first PDC World Championship title in 1995. The Power has more than 70 major tour titles to his name and has achieved no less than six live televised nine-dart finishes, the first of which came in the 2002 World Matchplay in Blackpool against Chris Mason. Many thought Taylor's powers were finally on the wane in 2007 after he lost his world crown to Raymond van Barneveld but he silenced the sceptics by reclaiming the title in 2009 with a 7-1 demolition of his Dutch rival to prove he remains the man to beat. Own a piece of sporting history Phil Taylor is the best darts player that has ever lived. This sensational montage print shows The Power celebrating some of his many triumphs at the oche. It is a top class piece of sports memorabilia. Each print also comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by our managing director.
