Non-flying Dutchman: Dennis Bergkamp

Dennis Bergkamp had an incredible career which lasted 20 years. He was part of the invincible Arsenal Team that won the Premier League in incredible fashion back in 2004. Starting his career at Dutch team Ajax, Bergkamp went on to make over 700 appearances for three clubs. In that time, he scored 264 goals in all competitions playing mostly as a second striker.

Most football fans will remember him for his jaw-dropping goal against Newcastle in 2002. A slick turn away after a pass from teammate Robert Pires, Bergkamp coolly finished in what has become one of the most memorable Premier League goals of all time. He won the Premier League title with Arsenal on three occasions as well as an incredible four FA Cup medals.

Bergkamp finished his career at Arsenal after retiring in 2006 after 423 games. He was most recently the assistant manager at former club Ajax.
