At Sydney, Pinsent's crew were pushed to the very limit of their considerable powers. After an incredibly fast start by the British crew, they were closed down by the advancing Italian and Australian teams. Who can forget that early morning in September when seemingly the whole of Britain tuned in to cheer home Pinsent and his crew? Fast-forward four years to the 2004 Athens Games and Pinsent securing an incredible fourth consecutive Olympic Gold.
