At A1 Sporting Memorabilia, we believe that every signed shirt deserves to be displayed with pride — and preserved with the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Our bespoke framing service is designed to protect, showcase and celebrate your memorabilia. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know before sending us your item.

Our Framing Process

We treat every item with care and respect. However, due to the nature of shirt framing, some minor and permanent effects to the fabric or backing may occur. These are not considered damage and will not affect the item’s value if stored and displayed properly

We've made it easy to preserve and display your signed or special shirt with our expert framing service. Here's how the process works:

Step 1: Place Your Order Online

Start by purchasing our framing service through the A1 Sporting Memorabilia website.

Step 2: Email a Photo of Your Shirt

After placing your order, please email a clear photo of your shirt (front or back, depending on how you’d like it framed) to:

Make sure to include your order number in the subject line or email body. This helps our team verify and match your item accurately.

Step 3: Send Us Your Shirt

Securely package your shirt and clearly label it with your order number and return address. Then post it, using a tracked and insured delivery method, to:

Any duties payable prior to the goods reaching us at our warehouse must be covered by the customer. All items remain at your responsibility until signed for by our staff, or an official representative or agent of the Company. 

Step 4: Item Arrival & Condition Check

When your shirt arrives, our team will inspect it and compare it with the photo you sent to ensure everything matches.

Step 5: Damage Confirmation (If Needed)

If we notice any additional wear or damage not visible in your photo, we’ll contact you right away to confirm how you’d like to proceed. This step protects both you and us before work begins.

Step 6: Professional Mounting

Once confirmed, we begin carefully mounting your shirt using acid-free, conservation-grade materials — and never use pins, staples, or adhesives.

Step 7: Approval Photo Sent

We’ll email you a photo of your framed shirt layout for your approval before we complete sealing.

Step 8: Waiting for Your Approval

You’ll have up to 5 working days to confirm or request changes. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume approval and proceed to finalise the frame.

Step 9: Final Framing & Secure Packaging

Once approved, we finish the frame and prepare your item for shipping in protective packaging.

Step 10: Delivery

Your item will be shipped to your original delivery address. Any import fees or duty charges, will remain your liability.  

Key Framing Standards:

•  No pins or holes: We use specialist conservation-grade, low-tack safety tape to mount your item. We never use staples, pins or adhesives that damage fabric.

•  Acid-free materials: All materials used are conservation-safe and designed to protect your shirt long-term.

•  UV exposure warning: Our frames are not UV-protected. Avoid hanging your item in direct sunlight or under strong artificial light to prevent fading.

•  Authenticity guaranteed: We never remove, reposition or interfere with authenticity stickers, shirt numbers, or official identifiers.

If you wish to unframe your item, we recommend using a professional framing or restoration service.

Approval & Amendments

Before final sealing, we will send you a preview photo of your shirt laid out in its frame. You will have five working days to approve or request changes.

If we do not receive a response, we will proceed under the assumption that you are happy with the layout.

If your item has not been framed as ordered, we will correct it — at no cost to you. No amendment fees apply.

Shipping & Delivery

We handle all shipments with precision and care, whether you’re in the UK or overseas.

•  Sending to us: Items remain the sender’s responsibility until signed for by a member of our team. Please use a tracked and insured courier service. Any duties payable prior to the goods reaching us at our warehouse must be covered by the customer.

•  Standard return shipping: Includes £100 insurance cover. This can be upgraded to £1,000 for an additional £25.

•  International delivery: Shipping rates are calculated at checkout or quoted on request, based on your location and carrier availability.

•  Redelivery charges: A fee may apply for repeat delivery attempts after two failed attempts.

•  Framing turnaround: Our standard processing time is 5–7 working days from when your item is received. Custom orders may require more time, especially during peak seasons or public holidays.
• Upon completion of framing, your items will be shipped back to you. Any import fees or duty charges, will remain your liability.  

   

Delivery dates are estimates unless specifically confirmed in writing.

Returns & Cancellations

We understand that plans may change. Our policy is designed to be fair and transparent.

•  Cancellation before framing begins: Full refund available.

•  Cancellation after framing has started: Partial refund issued, deducting the cost of labour and materials.

•  Warranty: All frames are covered by a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or general wear and tear.

Returns Process:

•  Returns must be pre-approved via email. Contact us at [email protected].

•  Custom and bespoke items must be returned in brand new, unused condition, with original packaging and valid proof of purchase.

•  Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the product is found to be faulty or defective.

Previous Customer Framing

Overview:

This framing service is exclusively for customers who have purchased a loose shirt from A1 Sporting Memorabilia & Icons.com. Our team will professionally frame your shirt in a premium display that includes a plaque and action photos.

What’s Included:

• Premium black and brushed silver mount

• Two high-quality player photos chosen by our expert team to match the shirt. Due to licensing reasons, the team will select these.

• Custom plaque (e.g. name, team, years active)

• Archival-quality materials are used throughout

• Secure packaging and return shipping

Eligibility:

• Only shirts originally purchased from A1 Sporting Memorabilia & Icons.com are eligible.

• To confirm your order, you must supply one of the following:

   

  • Your original A1 or Icons order number, OR

  • A valid Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by A1 or Icons.com

   

Price & Payment:

• The service is offered at a flat fee of £99

  This price includes framing, photo selection, and plaque design. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. 

Framing Process:

1. Place your order online and send a photo of your COA or previous A1 or Icons.com order number.

2. You’ll receive instructions on how to send your shirt to us.

3. Once received, we’ll match your shirt to the proof of purchase and begin the process.

4. You’ll receive a photo of the layout before final approval.

5. Upon your confirmation (or after 5 working days with no reply), we will proceed to frame and ship.

Shipping Instructions:

• You are responsible for sending your shirt to our framing team.

• We recommend using a tracked and insured service. Any duties payable prior to the goods reaching us at our warehouse must be covered by the customer. 

• Once framed, your shirt will be returned to you via DHL or Royal Mail with tracking. Any import fees or duty charges, will remain your liability.  

Important Notes:

• Only shirts from A1 Sporting Memorabilia and Icons.com are accepted.

  We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that does not meet this requirement.

• If proof of purchase cannot be verified, the order will be paused, and you will be contacted.

• We cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit to us.

• Turnaround time: typically 5–7 working days from receipt of the shirt.

• Please note this is a different service from our standard shirt framing service.

•  Most files are deleted 60–90 days after completion.

•  You must own the rights to any image submitted and agree not to upload any copyrighted, offensive or malicious content.
